Now the Conference is ready and the relevant matters are now announced as follows (which have been emailed to all participants already):

2. Here is the preliminary rundown (Download~Download~) for reference. It will be adjusted and the finalized rundown will be uploaded on this website.

3. When entering the HKU campus, you can present your invitation letter as a proof when asked by security guards.

4. The Conference will establish two awards, "Outstanding Paper Award for Research Students" (the contributors are research students) and "Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scholar" (the contributors are Associate Professors or below), in the two major areas of "Teaching and learning of Han Characters and Chinese Language" and "Han Characters and Chinese Language Research". After the review is completed, the awardees will be scheduled to present their papers during the specified sessions (X1, X2, Y1, Y2) on 17.12025. Slight adjustments on presentation schedule on 17.1.2025 will be made later. The finalized rundown will be uploaded on this website. Thank you for your attention!

5. Please make sure to purchase travel/medical insurance at your place of residence before departure to protect you against unexpected medical needs during your trip.

6. The cultural and heritage guided tour of the University of Hong Kong on 19.1.2025 (Sunday) is specially arranged for Conference participants at a discounted price of HKD100. For details and registration, please visit: Link~Link~

Registered presenters are required to settle the conference registration fee (payment link together with invitation letter had been issued within 7 working days through email after completion of online registration) by 31 October 2024 to guarantee the inclusion of your presentation in the conference program rundown.

Participants (First authors) can submit full papers to online submission platform (Link~Link~) by 30 November 2024.

The first author and title of the full paper should be the same as the accepted abstract. Word limit: 6,000- 8,000

Accepted presenters may submit full papers via online system before the deadline and they will be included in the Conference Proceedings. Please observe the Full Paper Submission Guideline to prepare your papers. Please note that the submission of full paper is not a mandatory requirement.

The Conference Secretariat starts to announce the review result of abstract proposals via email since 16 August 2024. First authors please kindly pay attention to their email boxes. After receiving our acceptance notification, the first authors shall complete the online registration by 30 September 2024.

The Conference will establish two awards, "Outstanding Paper Award for Research Students" (the contributors are research students) and "Outstanding Paper Award for Young Scholar" (the contributors are Associate Professors or below), in the two major areas of "Teaching and learning of Han Characters and Chinese Language" and "Han Characters and Chinese Language Research". Participants (First authors) are required to submit full papers to online submission platform by 30 November 2024. The paper format can be referred to Full Paper Submission Guideline <Download~Download~>. If the papers you submitted are only contributed to compete for the awards but not for publishing in our conference proceeding, please specify in the online submission platform. The link to the paper submission platform will be announced online later.
